In the fast-paced world of real estate, we are constantly pushing the boundaries with new technologies, evolving consumer expectations, and a strong focus on sustainability. However, amidst all this progress, one principle remains our top priority—safety.
At GHR Infra, we firmly believe that safety is non-negotiable and is essential to our mission — Building Responsibly.
- Protecting Lives and Well-Being
Safety standards directly impact the lives and well-being of our residents, partners and all the stakeholders involved. It is crucial to design and construct projects that deliver the highest possible safety standards. Whether it’s residential homes or commercial complexes, safety measures must be meticulously integrated into every phase of development.
- Regulatory Compliance and Standards
Adhering to safety regulations and standards is not merely a legal requirement but a moral obligation. Compliance with local, national, and international safety codes ensures that buildings are constructed and maintained to the highest standards. These regulations are in place to mitigate risks, prevent accidents, and protect the public. Setting a benchmark for the industry, we must all strive to go above and beyond these standards.
- Enhancing Resilience Against Natural Disasters
With the increasing frequency and intensity of natural disasters due to climate change, the need for resilient buildings has never been greater. Earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, and wildfires pose significant threats to both real estate assets and human lives. By incorporating resilient design principles and advanced construction techniques, we can significantly enhance a building’s ability to withstand such events. Prioritising safety helps reduce the devastating impacts of natural disasters and ensures the continuity of our communities.
- Promoting Long-Term Sustainability
Safety and sustainability go hand in hand. Sustainable building practices not only minimise environmental impact but also enhance the safety and longevity of structures. For instance, using eco-friendly materials, optimising energy efficiency, and implementing green building technologies contribute to safer and healthier living environments. It is a collective responsibility that we ensure safety and sustainability are the integral components of all projects.
- Reputation and Trust
In the real estate industry, reputation is everything. A strong commitment to safety builds trust with clients, investors, and stakeholders. People want to work with developers and companies that prioritise their well-being. By consistently delivering safe and secure properties, we strengthen our brand’s reputation and foster long-term relationships with our customers.
- Reducing Costs and Liabilities
Investing in safety measures from the start of a project can lead to substantial cost savings in the long run. Preventing accidents, structural failures, and other safety-related issues reduces the need for costly repairs, legal disputes, and insurance claims. It also minimises downtime and disruptions, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Safety is not an expense but an investment in the future.
GHR Infra’s Commitment to Safety
At GHR Infra, we actively engage in initiatives to promote and ensure safety at every level. Our recent initiative, Tool Box Talks (TBT) was organised to to educate and empower our workforce regarding safety measures at the construction sites. The TBT focussed on critical safety topics, including:
- Behavioural Safety: Emphasising the importance of safe behaviours and attitudes in the workplace.
- Height Work Safety Culture: Ensuring proper safety measures when working at heights to prevent falls and accidents.
- Proper Illumination in Night Shift Work: Highlighting the necessity of adequate lighting during night shifts to enhance visibility and reduce risks.
- Communication Procedure on UA/UC & Near Miss Cases with the Usage of PPE: Establishing clear communication protocols for reporting unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and near-miss incidents, along with the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Importance of Maintaining Electrical Safety at Workplace: Covering safe cable routing, proper use of plug tops, and the safe usage of power distribution boards (PDB) and power tools.
